Privacy policy

What we collect and why

When you order we collect your name, email address, phone number, delivery address and order notes. We use this only to process, deliver and invoice your order and to contact you about it.

Card payments are handled by Yoco. We never receive or store your card number or CVV.

Marketing

We do not send marketing messages unless you have separately agreed to receive them. You can withdraw that consent at any time.

Security and retention

Your information is sent over encrypted connections, stored in access-controlled systems and visible only to authorised Smaak Co staff. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and delete or anonymise them afterwards.

Your rights

You may ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, subject to legal retention requirements. Email orders@smaakco.co.za and we will respond within 30 days after confirming your identity.

Security incidents

If we suspect your personal information has been accessed without authorisation, we will investigate, notify the Information Regulator and affected customers as POPIA requires, and take steps to contain it.
